Final Project: Technology & it's effect on human

' If you think it makes u happier, do it' said Parton whom did multiple face surgery.

Like it anot, but plastic surgery has been a trend since forever. Since BEAUTY is such a big deal to not only females but males nowadays, the industry of plastic surgery has been popular. There are people who suffered from plastic surgery, earned loads of money because of their faces and become more ugly before of a failed surgery. People face countless pressure to get bombarded with pictures of beautiful women and men who are help up as the norm, therefore they feel the pressure to be attractive.

To me, plastic surgery is a touch up like lift up, nip & tick there for people who need a boost in self-esteem. Looks should not define who you are, and nothing can change who you are after going under a knife/ needle to rearrange your beauty nature.
Accept who you are.

Good Morning

This picture came to my mind when i was one ady climbing up to Broga hills just to see sunrise. Those colourful droplets represent seven spectrum of light that are invisible, while the ball on the top right corner represent the sun.

LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THE MOTHER NATURE ARE :')

National Art Gallery

Cheers to my first time visiting National Art Gallery!
It's too bad that we are not allow to photograph during our visit. Some arts were really awe- aspiring!

The first art that amazed me, Freedom.
As i believe, there are always 2 sides of us, the good and the bad as known as the innocent one and the destroyer. All i see in this art piece is struggle. 2 souls (good and bad) colored in black and red that i assumed belong to the same person are being tied tightly by multiple ropes. They are being tied so tightly until they can't even reach out. It kinda means that freedom is not even out for them to reach. They struggled but there is no use, it's like they are meant to be tied up until they realized how dangerous the reality world is.
The background itself is scary because it's dull and dark everywhere, and it seems like people around them are teasing them on their foolish.
But on the other hand, the left bottom of the art, here come a dove bird which represent peace. Besides, there is also a statue of a male version angel. This shows that no matter how bad the situation is around us, there is still hope and people who are out there encouraging us to get out of our bad situation.

Street Art

“Art is an evolutionary act. Its role in society and the shape of art are constantly changing. At no point is art static. There are no rules.”
 – Raymond Salvotore Harmonart

Whenever street art is being discussed, a picture of this will pop out.

But here goes one of the classic graffiti that was famous back then,
'The Kilroy Was Here" graffiti. It was started by an American ship inspector who would write his name on the bulkhead of every ship that he inspected. Sailors then started to mark Kilroy Was Here at every place they arrived at, thinking that it will be interesting to mark their new territory. Once American sailor go on to the fad, the next thing you know is the " *Name*  Was Here" phrase is all over subway trains and toilet doors.

Shepherd Fairey’s Andre the Giant
This piece of street art is said to be an experiment in phenomenology. Phenomenology allow people to see something clearly that is right before their eyes but masked; things that are so taken for granted that they are hushed by abstract observation.

I am amazed by the history of street art, maybe people can stop being biased towards the beauty of street art.

Silent note

 THE SILENT NOTE

To me, a B&W picture conveys preserve emotions. There are some messages that the girl wanted to hide in the picture. The girl in the picture might be scared to reveal what her true feeling are. She might get betrayed or hurt before and therefore never want to show her true emotions anymore.
The story that first came through my mind about this picture is that the girl is a pianist and just left every single loved one of hers to move to a new town. Because of the emptiness and loneliness she has, she bought a brand new piano with the same model that she owns in her hometown, thinking that this is the only way for her to feel homed and loved again.

I can feel her weary soul with sorrow by just looking at her staring at the piano, thinking about her memorable days back then.

Loving the colour turquoise shows a person having high sensitivity and creativity. Besides, they present a personality of being caring, empathetic and compassionate too. People who have turquoise personality often speak from the heart and not scared of sharing their most inner thoughts. Hence, they tend to seek for spiritual fulfillment.

The colour turquoise creates a balance for one's emotional stage. It heals our emotions because this colour element gives calming and cool attributes. Because the colour turquoise calms our mind and soul, it helps through physically and mentally. Physically includes increasing growth and muscular strength, stomach problems, rheumatism and viral infections; while mentally involve enhancing decision-making skill, clear thinking and public speaking.

Principles and elements of design

Elements of design

  • Colour (hue) :  a mixture of 3 colours (red, yellow, blue). Colour has few properties including value ( degree of lightness), intensity ( the strength and purity of the colour) and hue (quality that separate one colour from another)
  • Line : linear mark that describe a shape by being the edge of an area or surface, colour, tone or pattern, which form an outline.
  • Texture : the degree of smoothness or roughness of objects, either tactile or visual surface quality of a shape.
  • Size : the relationship of the area occupied by one shape to that of another.
  • Value : the tone ( lightness or darkness of the colour)
  • Shape : self contained defined area of geometric form.

Balance : control the elements in attracting attention, the feelings of visual equality of elements of design
Gradation: gradation of the colour and size. From warm to cool, dark to light. Gradation can cause our eyes to move along a shape and therefore create movement
Harmony: the combine of similar and related elements that is comfortable for our visual
Contrast: the display of two opposing elements (opposite colours on the colour wheel) or two opposing in tone or value (light/dark)  that stands out because they are visually different
Unity: visual linking of elements of the art work and relate the design elements to the idea needed to be expressed
Repetition: shape that are similar to one another, can be in a form of repetition with variation as shown in the picture below

Abstract

This abstract art is made up by several triangle and round shapes.

The display of burst of rainbow represent that miracles can happen everywhere all the time. While the black and white ball appears to be the zone where people tend to hide in their emotions, always having negative thoughts and high defence mechanism. But once you step out of the emotional zone of yours, the pinkish ball has successfully shine you will be slowly transform into the pinkish ball. It shines itself and influence people and things around them.
